Andrea's story

For over a decade, I’ve lived with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Some days were manageable; others were awful. The pain, the stiffness, the tiredness, not being able to walk, lift a cup of coffee, or simply do daily tasks —it all became part of me, a constant reminder that my body wasn’t on my side.

This was the worst flare up I have had in my 10 years of being diagnosed. Norm has always known about my condition, always understood and has always advised in the best way.

This time was no different. He knew when I needed a break, and he knew when a push was needed in order to feel better, less stiff and more flexible.

Strengthening, not Straining

Over time, Norm guided me through workouts designed specifically to support my joints rather than stress them.

He taught me how to strengthen the muscles around my knees and wrists so that they could bear more of the load, relieving pressure on my joints. He modified weight training for me, focusing on controlled, deliberate movements instead of explosive ones that could trigger inflammation.

He adjusted exercises as needed. Sometimes it was weighted workouts, sometimes it was body weight workouts. It all depended on how I felt that day. And slowly, I started to feel stronger, better and in less pain.

He also massively helped me with nutrition, giving me the knowledge of anti-flammatory foods, foods that with help with my joints and body overall.

Supplements / vitamins that will help strengthen my bones and joints.

Thanks to Norm, I can train Martial Arts again, I can lift heavier weights again, I can run and do functional workouts and simple daily tasks!
